David Lynch cries himself to sleep at night because this isn't his movie. This reminds me the episode where Mr. Krabs and Spongebob tried to kill the Health Inspector. This is excellent, love it. Spilling views and comments soon like I spilled my beans. Robert Eggers returns with another unsettling historic tale since his debut with The Witch a few years ago. Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe's performances alone are enough to give this dog her sea legs, but the story remains riveting and intriguing up until the final frame. A must watch for anyone really into their movies, but I wouldn't reccomend it to a casual viewer.

Idk why this is actually so terrifying after the lighthouse. As many of you l was also drawn to this movie by Witch... l saw all bad ratings and l started watching in a bad mood. 's really not that bad. You are simply following a man going absolutely nuts on that island with already crazy fella. Ending is not precise about anything and writer obviously wanted to eliminate every possible factor of starting a real story here. Performance and photography are absolutely amazing.

From the director of The Babadook comes Hobbs and Shaw. Best film of 2019. and I watched it because Dafoe performance looked incredible but Robert absolutely blew me away. I still havent seen 1917. but so far for me. this movie alone should get the best cinematography at least. such and amazing work of art. Im glad at least won at cannes. Both actors were amazing, but to even begin to understand this movie you need a book Greek mythology, knowledge of New England folklore, a Psychology degree and a micro dose of psilocybin.
The lighthouse is two guy left alone trapped together and getting more and more drunk and crazy. Is it an half in the bag remake.

I may have to put a TURBO Fan in my computer. Since finding this series of the MOST BEAUTIFUL harmonies and blending of voices and talent I have almost listened to it CONSTANTLY, I swear I see smoke coming from my tower sometimes. Can't get enough. When are yall doing another concert. I really want to like this movie and this review is very likely pointless, I share an opinion with many of the other user's who reviewed this film. Imagery is great and acting is stellar, I really like the symbolism of sea lore portrayed, but simply disgusting. This movie plays the shock-value card, the concept of insanity this way is better portrayed in novels, leaving the consumer to imagine it themselves.
The Lighthouse and The Irishman, both epic masterpieces and yet they decided to give 4 oscars to that wanna-be hitchcock parasite. Beautiful song and so beautifully sung. Passive Progressive is a pretty brilliant neologism, Mike. You clever coiner, you. I love Roger Deakins, but I really feel like The Lighthouse deserved the Best Cinematography Oscar more than 1917. I just learned that Little Ralphie from A Christmas Story is the Tony Stark Built that in a cave guy. I'm going to lay down for a while.
